New Members

Congress and AGM 2023 – Sweden
Registration is open – LINK
The Congress will open on Wednesday evening 23rd August with a Welcome party. This will be followed by Educational days on 24th and 26th August and the AGM on 25th August. Further information is available in the IBITA homepage
Hoodies and Polo Shirts – On the registration form there is box to order an IBITA Hoodie or Polo Shirt. There is a link to a size chart (Hoodies:LINK Polo shirts:LINK) if you are unsure of the best size for you. Statement of Instructor Status (SIS) for 2023 opened on 1st May
Please remember to be able to vote at the AGM, full members must have completed their Statement of Instructor Status (SIS) before 30th June and have paid their IBITA subscription before 12th August 2023.
The 2023 SIS for all members including retired members and instructor candidates closes on 30th JUNE. All members including HLM and retired must complete their SIS every year to maintain their membership of IBITA.
All Instructor Candidates (BCIC and ACIC) must upload a personal training profile form (PTPF) with their SIS submission even if they have not completed an assistantship during the last year.
To complete your SIS please go to the member webpage – Select “Your Profile” – select “Edit your Profile” – select “Fill in your Statement of Instructor Status Survey”.

Here are the important dates for the next two months.

- Statements of Instructor Status and Instructor Candidate Status to be completed after May 1 and before June 30 by ALL members – Full, Retired, Honorary Life Members, and Associate Members. Electronic submission via Member Profile on website – SIS Instructions
- May 31, 2023
- Deadline to submit motions for the AGM
- June 25, 2023
- Initial AGM Agenda posted 2 months prior to AGM. NO motion amendments are possible.
- June 30, 2023
- Statements of Instructor Status and Instructor Candidate Status submission deadline, to be completed by ALL members – Full, Retired, Honorary Life Members, Associate Members. Electronic submission via Member Profile on website – SIS Instructions
- Country Representative Reports deadline. For more information contact the IBITA Vice Chairperson.
- July 1, 2023
- Subscriptions to be paid after 1 July and no later than 12 August
Covid-19 EXEMPTIONS
The Executive and Education Committees are continuing to work together to provide advice and guidance for planning and teaching IBITA courses during this pandemic.

Instructor Training Committee
Current status of registration for Modules in Sweden
BCIC: UL- this module is now full and will be held from 28th – 31st August.
ACIC: Advanced Clinical Reasoning – 20th – 23rd August. There are still places available on this module, which is open to Advanced Course Instructor Candidates, Advanced Course Instructors and Basic Course Instructors who have instructed a minimum of five basic courses. Registration information – LINK The closing date for registration for the ACIC module will be 31st May 2023.
Financial Assistance for Instructor Training
Basic and Advanced Course Instructor Candidates
– Professional Development Support Grants (Procedural Manual Part V)
- For members with financial restrictions.
- Expenses towards attending Professional development activities not covered by other IBITA grants, including:
- Expenses to participate in ACIC Training Module and/or IBITA Congress.
- Expenses associated with Advanced Course Instructor Candidate assistantships, including the qualification event.
- Not eligible to re-apply for 4-years after grant receipt.
