New Members
We would like to welcome three new Associate Members – Petra Hulten from Sweden, Katie Sutton and Claudio Bellani from the United Kingdom.
Congress and AGM 2023 – Sweden
Registration will be opening soon. The Congress will open on Wednesday evening 23rd August with a Welcome party. This will be followed by Educational days on 24th and 26th August and the AGM on 25thAugust. Further information is available in the IBITA homepage
Congress and AGM 2024 – Italy. This meeting will be held in Verona 28th – 31st August 2024

Hybrid IBITA recognised Courses
If you have taught an IBITA recognised course where aspects of the teaching were online, please can you share your experiences and evaluations to assist other instructors in using this method? Please send your information to m.michielen@ibita.org
Instructor Training Committee
Registration is now open for the modules in Sweden. Links to the registration information is also available on the Homepage of the website
The original date for cancelling the modules if there were inadequate numbers to make the modules viable was 1st July but this makes booking flights for everyone very expensive so the decision has been made that the closing date for registration for both instructor candidates and instructors will be 1st April 2023. Instructor candidates must pay their module fee by 1st April and all other members must pay by 15th April 2023
In previous years, Instructor candidates have had priority registration for ITC modules but for the 2023 modules all applicants need to be registered by 1st April.
An individual, who is not yet a member of IBITA, may email the IBITA Secretary requesting permission to register for an IC Training Module. A letter of support from a Full Member must accompany the request, verifying anticipated successful first assistantship completion a minimum of one month (30 days) prior to module commencement. The individual must also be a registered/paid Associate Member a minimum of one month (30 days) prior to module commencement.

Financial Assistance for Instructor Training
BCIC Training Module Grants (Procedural Manual Part V)

– To cover cost of flight expenses to attend compulsory IC Training Modules, if cheapest economy flight expense is 750Euro or more to attend module of current year AND 750Euro or more to attend module in the previous or next year.
– Preference to members who have not previously received IBITA funding.
Bobath Development Fund (Procedural Manual Part V)
- For members residing in less resourced countries.
- Expenses associated with Basic Course Instructor Candidate assistantships, including the qualification event.
Basic and Advanced Course Instructor Candidates
– Professional Development Support Grants (Procedural Manual Part V)
- For members with financial restrictions.
- Expenses towards attending Professional development activities not covered by other IBITA grants, including:
- Expenses to participate in ACIC Training Module and/or IBITA Congress.
- Expenses associated with Advanced Course Instructor Candidate assistantships, including the qualification event.
- Not eligible to re-apply for 4 years after grant receipt.
