Social Media Committee
During the past month, the Social Media Committee has started developing a more structured communication system for IBITA.
In addition to the existing Instagram account, official LinkedIn and Facebook channels have now been established:
- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/IBITA.org
- Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ibitaofficial
- LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ibitaofficial
We have also:
- developed a consistent visual identity for future social media communication based on the existing official IBITA visual identity;
- defined the main role of Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook and which types of content are most appropriate for each platform;
- established an initial workflow for preparing and publishing content;
- started developing common templates and publishing guidelines.
Our communication model is based on three connected levels: the IBITA website as the official source of complete information, official IBITA social media as curated communication channels, and the IBITA member network as an important source and distributor of IBITA-related content.
We would therefore like to invite IBITA members and instructors to contribute content.
Course announcements
If members would like an upcoming IBITA course to be promoted through the official IBITA social media channels, they are welcome to send us the course information and relevant visual material.
Because of the large number of IBITA courses worldwide, individual course announcements will generally be shared primarily through Instagram Stories, while selected significant courses or periodic course overviews may also appear in the permanent feed.
Completed courses and other IBITA activities
Members are also encouraged to send us material from completed courses, congresses, educational activities, research-related events or other relevant IBITA activities.
Please send:
- a selection of good-quality photographs;
- a short accompanying textwith the relevant names, location, course/event title and dates;
- any relevant link or additional information.
The Social Media Committee will select the most appropriate platform and format for publication. All material, suggestions and social media content can be sent to: [email protected]
Tagging IBITA
When posting content related to completed IBITA courses, upcoming courses, Bobath-related activities or other relevant IBITA activities on personal or organisational social media accounts, please tag the official IBITA account on the respective platform.
This will make it easier for the Social Media Committee to identify relevant content, share member activities and strengthen the visibility of the IBITA community internationally.
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee would like to remind all members who are not currently elected to a committee that there are still opportunities to become involved in committee activities.
Members may have the opportunity to participate as co-opted members for a specific task or project, depending on the needs of the individual committees.
It is also possible to shadow a committee and gain a better understanding of its work. This can be a valuable opportunity for members who are interested in becoming more actively involved in IBITA and may wish to apply for a committee position in the future.
If you are interested in either of these opportunities, please contact the Nominating Committee at [email protected] and let us know about your availability and the committee or area in which you would be interested.
