We mourn the passing of Pat Davies
Sheena informed us that Pat Davies passed last week. She was one of the founding members of IBITA and her work for our association is priceless. The members who know her personally will write an obituary which will be published separately.
Security problems
We want to apologize for the inconveniences caused due to some security problems with our webpage and documents. We are working on them and will inform you when we finish the work. Thank you for your understanding.
Byelaws and Procedural Manual
The 2024 Byelaws and the 2024 Procedural Manual and files are online and reflect the decisions made during the AGM. They are uploaded to Google Docs. The minutes of the AGM should be on the website by November 2024.
Statement of Instructor Status (SIS) for 2024. Some members have still not submitted their SIS – this is a requirement for membership.
The 2024 SIS for all members including retired members and instructor candidates closed on 31st July as an exemption. All members including HLM and RM must complete their SIS every year to maintain their membership of IBITA.
All Instructor Candidates (BCIC and ACIC) must upload a personal training profile form (PTPF) with their SIS submission even if they have not completed an assistantship during the last year.
To complete your SIS please go to the member webpage – Select “Your Profile” – select “Edit your Profile” – select “Fill in your Statement of Instructor Status Survey”.
Subscriptions 2024/2025. Some members have still not paid their subscriptions – this is also a requirement for membership.

Please publish all the co-instructors or/and instructor candidates who are actively involved in teaching. We have a lot of requests from all over the world and if we don’t know where courses are running, we cannot help with further information! If you need help, please contact the IBITA Secretary Victor Urquizo – [email protected]
Instructor Training Committee
We are pleased to report the successful running of both the BCIC and ACIC Modules in Brescia, 2024. The BCIC Module was attended by 25 participants and the ACIC Module was attended by 13 participants. In each module the participants were a mix of both Instructors and Instructor Candidates. The feedback was extremely positive for both modules. We will share this in the November and December newsletters prior to the opening in January of the 2 modules planned for Japan.
