Executive Committee News
Congress and AGM 2023 – Sweden
Registration is now open – LINK The Congress fee is 360 Euro until 1st May, after this date the Congress Fee will be 410 Euros.
The Congress will open on Wednesday evening 23rd August with a Welcome party. This will be followed by Educational days on 24th and 26th August and the AGM on 25th August. Further information is available in the IBITA homepage
Please remember to contact the Research Committee and Education Committee if you would like to present the results of your scientific research in the form of an oral presentation or a poster. The contact person is Agnieszka Śliwka, her email address is [email protected]
Statement of Instructor Status (SIS) for 2023 opens 1st May
Please remember to be able to vote at the AGM, full members must have completed their Statement of Instructor Status (SIS) before 30th June and have paid their IBITA subscription before 12th August 2023.
The 2023 SIS for all members including retired members and instructor candidates opens on 1st May. All members including HLM and retired must complete their SIS every year to maintain their membership of IBITA.
All Instructor Candidates (both BCIC and ACIC) must update a personal training profile form (PTPF) with their SIS submission even if they have not completed an assistantship during the last year.
To complete your SIS please go to the member webpage – Select “Your Profile” – select “Edit your Profile” – select “Fill in your Statement of Instructor Status Survey”.

Covid-19 EXEMPTIONS
The Executive and Education Committees are continuing to work together to provide advice and guidance for planning and teaching IBITA courses during this pandemic.

Instructor Training Committee
Current status of registration for Modules in Sweden
BCIC: UL- this module is now full and will be held from 28th – 31st August.
BCIC: Locomotion – Cancelled due to lack of registrations
ACIC: Advanced Clinical Reasoning – the dates for this module have changed to 20th – 23rd August. There are still places available on this module, which is open to Advanced Course Instructor Candidates, Advanced Course Instructors and Basic Course Instructors who have instructed a minimum of five basic courses. The closing date for registration for the ACIC module will be 31st May 2023.
Financial Assistance for Instructor Training
Bobath Development Fund (Procedural Manual Part V)
- For members residing in less resourced countries.
- Expenses associated with Basic Course Instructor Candidate assistantships, including the qualification event.
Basic and Advanced Course Instructor Candidates
– Professional Development Support Grants (Procedural Manual Part V)
- For members with financial restrictions.
- Expenses towards attending Professional development activities not covered by other IBITA grants, including:
- Expenses to participate in ACIC Training Module and/or IBITA Congress.
- Expenses associated with Advanced Course Instructor Candidate assistantships, including the qualification event.
- Not eligible to re-apply for 4 years after grant receipt.
