Executive Committee News: 2021 IBITA AGM/Congress The virtual AGM will be held on the Saturday August 28th 2021 from 13.00 – 16.30 European time and will include the announcement of the results of the elections for office bearers and discussion of the reports and motions. This discussion is intended to provide you with information to inform voting on motions after the virtual AGM. Please refer to the 2021 AGM Webpage LINKPlease remember to be able to vote, full members must have completed their Statement of Instructor Status (SIS) before 30th June and have paid their IBITA subscription before 12th August 2021.The SIS for all members including retired members and instructor-candidates is open. All  Instructor–candidates (BCI-C and ACI-C) must upload a personal training profile form (PTPF) with their SIS submission even if they have not completed an assistantship during the last year. Note that if the PTPF is not submitted, the SIS is not complete. Important dates for the next month- May 1, 2021 Statements of Instructor Status and Instructor Candidate Status to be completed before June 30 by ALL members – Full, Retired, Honorary Life Members, and Associate Members. Date: after September Instructor Training Committee The ITC BCI-C / ACI-C ON-LINE SEMINAR has been running for 3 months. We anticipate completion of the final Module 3, at the end of June. This learning opportunity has included watching video’s of teaching sessions, working in small groups to discuss guided questions supporting the establishment of peer support on an international level and interactive Zoom sessions with ITC and Instructor–candidates (BCI-C and ACI-C)  at the end of each Module. We plan to obtain feedback at the end of the Seminar and will share this with IBITA 2021 ITC modules It has been decided to cancel the ITC Modules in Slovenia this year. There are a number of reasons for this decision including: The restrictions within Europe upon return to the country of residence. Many countries still require a quarantine period once you return after travel within Europe Limitations for travel from outside Europe to enter Europe (cost / quarantine) Ongoing uncertainty This decision has not been lightly. We do appreciate that in many countries as vaccinations increase, the future’s looking brighter, however we have to make the decision based upon what is known today. The Instructor Training Committee has been looking at alternative dates and venues for the modules and is planning to offer Modules in Brescia, Italy in the second half of February 2022. The Peer Review Committee has developed documents to serve as examples for a CPD portfolio. This resource was developed as a useful tool given many members have doubts about how to fill in the forms and what to put as CPD activities.
