Executive Committee News:
We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
AGM 2022 – Due the ongoing pandemic the face to face AGM and Congress due to be held in Japan in September has been cancelled. The AGM will now be held virtually on Saturday 3rd September. As soon as more information is available about the virtual educational components you will be informed.
Exemption process for Instructor- Candidates
The Instructor Training modules planned for Italy in February and Japan in the autumn have had to be cancelled which means some instructor candidates will not be able to complete the compulsory two modules before they are ready to plan their potential qualification event. The Executive Committee in conjunction with the ITC, Education Committee and Qualification Committee are working on an exemption process to allow ICs to move forward with their plans during the pandemic. As soon as this is finalised, more information will be sent to members.
Covid-19 EXEMPTIONS
The Executive and Education Committees are continuing to work together to provide advice and guidance for planning and teaching IBITA courses during this pandemic.

Education Committee
Education Committee Webinar Series 2022
The Education Committee is pleased to invite you to a series of webinars to be held in 2022 to help us stay connected and to share knowledge and experience regarding the Bobath Concept.
The next webinar ‘Case reports using the MBCP’ led by Monica Morelli will be held on February 19th at 13.30 Europe time. The Zoom link will be sent to members next month.

During the webinars it will be possible to ask questions online to open discussion on the topic. The webinars will be recorded and available on the website for those unable to participate in the online session.
Instructor Training Committee
Unfortunately, given the ongoing uncertainty as a result of COVID we have had to cancel the scheduled face to face ITC Modules that were planned for Brescia and Japan.
The Committee is now looking at the possibility of running the modules later in the year.
The ITC is committed to help support ICs around the globe and is discussing a number of options. If you have any reasonable cost effective suggestions about how we can meet your individual and collective needs, please email Cathy Eustace – [email protected]

Research Committee
New articles have been added to the IBITA library into a folder named ‘January 2022’ LINK
The Research Committee Publications Sub – Group held their first meeting this month
Their purpose is to be responsible for identifying, evaluating and responding (if needed) to research articles that describe the Bobath Concept.
Articles to be considered for review shall be submitted to the Research Committee by any member, including sub-group members.

Scam emails – please be aware that fake/scam emails have been sent to IBITA members this month. They appear to be sent from other members of IBITA and are asking for help but the return email address is fake. Please do not reply to these emails.
