AGM 2021 – Thank you to all the members who completed the survey about your views on possible attendance at the AGM and Congress 2021.
Registration for the AGM / Congress will not open until more is known about the effects of the pandemic on travel etc. although we hope to be able to make a final decision regarding whether the AGM / Congress will be face to face or a virtual meeting by March. Tentative plans: 22nd – 25th September 2021 Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Covid-19: The Executive and Education Committees are continuing to work together to provide advice and guidance for planning and teaching IBITA courses during this pandemic.

The document Covid-19 Course Exemptions – Information for Membership LINK has just been updated and is now available.
The main change in the Covid-19 document is the removal of the wording “Exemptions will be granted primarily to assist courses started before 31 March 2020 that need to be completed” .

Instructor Training Modules
Preliminarily information about the 2021 ITC Modules will be posted on the IBITA website in the next few days. Plans for the modules may need to change depending on Covid-19.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL IC’s AND POTENTIAL NEW IC’s
Instructor-candidates will be given priority registration on a “first come, first served” basis until April 1st. All instructor candidates, and prospective new candidates meeting the criteria below, should submit their I-C Training Module registration before April 1 to secure a place on the module.
An individual, who is not yet a member of IBITA, may email the IBITA Secretary requesting permission to register for an I-C Training Module. A letter of support from a Full Member must accompany the request, verifying anticipated successful first assistantship completion a minimum of one month (30 days) prior to module commencement. The individual must be a registered/paid Associate Member a minimum of one month (30 days) prior to module commencement. The one-month time frame allows the possibility to offer registration to an individual wait listed if the assistantship is not successfully completed. Note these individuals are not eligible for the IC Training Module Grant as only current ICs may apply for the Instructor-Candidate Training Module Grant with submission deadline extended to 1st March 2021.
