New Tabs on the website
To facilitate your access to relevant documents for basic and advanced courses we create new tabs on the website. You can download the documents as necessary including the new IBITA certificates. You can fulfill it and download it as a PDF-File.
Creating an IBITA Certificate
The steps are very easy. Just fulfill the spaces and create a PDF-File for every participant.
Optional: You can add the Logo and the Name of the Organization.
Please use only these certificates and don’t translate them into your language. The official IBITA Certificate is in English.
Please note that an advanced course certificate can only be signed by an ACI or SI, not by ACIC
Verona Research Group
The VRG have made good progress with our research project, with hard work by our members and accessing some excellent expert advice from outside IBITA, both for the new technologies and statistical review. We have been able to develop the project from our ideas into a methodology we can apply. We are now ready to invite IBITA members and associate members to consider participating in the project, including recruiting suitable patients and providing assessment and treatment according to the protocol. At this stage, we are asking members to let us know if they might be interested in taking part.
The requirements of participation for therapists are outlined in the attachment ‘What does participating in the VRG research project mean?’ The latest version of the protocol, version 7, is also attached, incorporating important changes to recruitment and delivery of interventions arising out of correspondence from IBITA members to the VRG. Many thanks to those who provided us with feedback.
We hope to begin the process of ethics applications before the midyear and start recruitment in the second half of 2026. Please review these documents, discuss with colleagues, and consider whether you might join us. We have attached a brief questionnaire, and we ask all members to return this by February 15th, 2026, to [email protected]. If we don’t have enough members interested in participating, the project will be abandoned.
Lastly, if you or a family member/friend are upgrading your phone, please consider donating your old smart phone to IBITA for this project. There are few requirements for the SMART phones for our research, most models that are <7 years old or, if an apple phone or higher specification model, even older phones could still be utilised. Please let me know if you have a phone to donate.

Nominating Committee
The IBITA Nominating Committee invites all members who are completing their second term on a committee to share their experience through a short testimonial.
This month we propose the message from Gakeemah Inglis member of the Bobath Development Committee. We hope you enjoy reading her reflections.
Being part of the Bobath Development Committee within IBITA was a truly formative experience for me. Working alongside colleagues from such varied backgrounds, I found the relationships we built to be warm, respectful, and deeply collaborative. Even though our committee was small, the collective energy and commitment translated into real success for the group’s efforts, which was both motivating and humbling. When I was not well and could not participate actively for a while, my team members supported me and gave me the space and grace to recover before continuing.
On reflection, I learnt a great deal about myself particularly the importance of listening openly, adapting to different perspectives, and trusting the strength of diversity in teamwork. I came to appreciate how much richer and more creative solutions become when shaped by voices from across cultures and disciplines. This experience not only strengthened my confidence in contributing to international projects but also deepened my belief in the value of inclusivity and shared purpose.
If you are interest in belonging to a committee, please send an email to [email protected]
