We mourn the loss of Honoré Vernetti
The Italian group remembers with deep sorrow their colleague Honoré Jacques Vernetti Mansin Coppet. A University Professor and a highly valued teacher of the Bobath Concept, Scientific Director of the Complex Structure for Functional Recovery and Rehabilitation at the Pietra Ligure Hospital, Honoré was one of the foremost exponents of neurorehabilitation in Italy.
Passionate about study, rigorous in clinical reasoning and training, Honoré dedicated his life to the rehabilitation of people with severe disabilities, always seizing possibilities even in the most difficult situations, showing his many students and colleagues how his approach to care was always a knowledgeable act imbued with a genuine desire for the well-being of the Other.
We will cherish the memory of his smile, his elegance, and his immense professional competence.

Nominating Committee
The IBITA Nominating Committee invites all members who are completing their second term on a committee to share their experience through a short testimonial.
Starting this month, we will begin sharing these experiences to highlight the value of committee involvement within IBITA with the message from Kostas Kypriotis, enjoy the read!
My name is Kostas Kypriotis, and I live in Greece. After qualifying as a Basic Course Instructor, I decided to join the IBITA Research Committee, driven by my long-standing interest in research. My term coincided with a period of increased scientific scrutiny of the Concept, which highlighted the need for careful evaluation of new studies and for supporting high-quality research that reflects the contemporary Bobath Concept.
In the committee, I have enjoyed working on tasks such as sharing relevant literature, evaluating research proposals, supporting members in understanding research methodology, and reviewing grant applications. Collaboration with other committees and special interest groups has been a valuable part of this work.
You do not need to be a research expert to join. Through teamwork, you naturally deepen your understanding of research and strengthen your knowledge of the Bobath Concept. Exchanging ideas with instructors from diverse backgrounds has enriched my teaching and contributed to my personal development.
Serving on this committee has been one of the most meaningful parts of my professional journey. It has given me a sense of belonging within the wider IBITA community, and the collaborative spirit within the committee has been truly inspiring.
As I now complete my second term, I warmly encourage colleagues to apply. It is a rewarding opportunity to contribute, learn, and grow.
