New Qualified Basic Instructor
We would like to congratulate Masayuki Ayukawa from Japan who qualified as Basic Course Instructor in August 2024.
Congress and AGM 2024 – Verona, Italy
Final plans are being made for the Congress and AGM being held in Verona. The Italian group have been busy preparing to welcome us to Italy.

- AGM and Congress Registration
- The Congress will open on Wednesday evening 28thAugust with a Welcome party. This will be followed by educational days on 29th and 31st August and the AGM on 30th
- Location: Palazzo Della Gran Guardia, Verona
- Wednesday August 28th 16:30 – 18:30 Congress registration.
- Thursday 29thAugust 08:30 – 09:15 Congress Registration if unable to register on 28th
- Collect Voting Cards
- AGM Friday 29thAugust 08:00 – 08:30 ALL eligible members must collect a voting card.

- You must be online for the links to work.
- You may choose to download the folder with all files to your computer so you can review them offline. The links will only work if you are online, but the files are all clearly named. Most documents have been linked to the agenda, but a few outstanding documents will be linked before the AGM. Please keep reviewing the agenda to see the new linked documents.
- Please note that voting rights are dependent upon fulfilling member duties:
- SIS submissions MUST be completed by 31stJuly (as an exemption) and subscriptions must be paid before 9th August for voting cards to be issued.
- AGM Attendance Certificate.You are required to attend the full AGM Day to meet the AGM attendance requirements. A certificate of AGM attendance will only be issued if you attend the full AGM Day.
- Educational Days.Attendance certificates will be issued to members for your CPD portfolio.
- Committee Tables. Representatives from our standing committees will be available during morning and afternoon breaks on Thursday for meet and greet, questions and discussions. We look forward to meeting you.
- All Instructor Candidates – the meeting with the Instructor trainee Secretary will be on Friday 30th August from 17:15 to 18:00 hours after the AGM. Place is not yet defined.
Statement of Instructor Status (SIS) for 2024. Some members have still not submitted their SIS – this is a requirement for membership.
The 2024 SIS for all members including retired members and instructor candidates closed on 31st July as an exemption. All members including HLM and RM must complete their SIS every year to maintain their membership of IBITA.
All Instructor Candidates (BCIC and ACIC) must upload a personal training profile form (PTPF) with their SIS submission even if they have not completed an assistantship during the last year.
To complete your SIS please go to the member webpage – Select “Your Profile” – select “Edit your Profile” – select “Fill in your Statement of Instructor Status Survey”.
Subscriptions 2024/2025. Some members have still not paid their subscriptions – this is also a requirement for membership.
Please remember that the postal votes of members who did not pay their subscriptions will not be counted!

We recommend that information regarding interesting and relevant upcoming conferences and congresses, as well as online educational courses, be forwarded by membership to the IBITA.
Publishing Courses
Please do not forget to publish the basic and advanced courses you are teaching in 2024. Please publish all the co-instructors or/and instructor candidates who are active involved in teaching. If you need help, please contact the IBITA Secretary Victor Urquizo – [email protected]
