The 2020 Byelaws and Procedural Manual and files are now uploaded to the website.The Executive Committee would like your feedback on the processes undertaken this year to have an IBITA AGM due to the cancelled in-person IBITA AGM and Congress.
Please answer the questions in the Google SURVEY by 25th September 2020. NB: This date has been extended from 15^th September.

Thank you to all members who joined our Extraordinary Zoom Meeting 29^th August 2020. The meeting  was recorded in 2 parts (a) EC facilitated information (b) Education presentation by Dr Kim Brock – “New directions in rehabilitation research – new opportunities for the Bobath concept?”  The recordings are available LINKCovid-19 Course Exemptions. The Executive and Education Committees are working together to review Covid-19 course exemptions and to provide advice and guidance for planning and teaching IBITA courses during this pandemic. We ask all full members to complete the Google Survey before 26 September 2020 to inform the next revision to the course exemption guidelines and to share your experiences of planning and teaching courses at this time

As you know Bettina Paeth Rohlfs prepared a presentation for the Extraordinary Zoom meeting held August 29, 2020 to announce her retirement and resignation from IBITA. Our appreciation to Bettina for her significant contribution to IBITA as Senior Instructor and sincere best wishes for all that lies ahead.

Financial support for research
The IBITA Research Grant (Procedural Manual 5.3.1) and the Panturin Scholarship
(Procedural Manual 5.3.5) are both open to applications. Please read the sections in the Procedural Manual for more information. The closing date for applications is 1^st November.

Education Committee
Webinar “Revised definition of the Bobath concept”
Following the publication of a revised definition of the Bobath concept: Phase 3 [published in Physiotherapy Research International Volume 25, Issue 3, July 2020 and online December 2019], the Education Committee along with Julie Vaughan-Graham and Marc Michielsen, are pleased to present to the membership a webinar on the revised definition with the aim for Instructors and Instructor Candidates to feel more confident in incorporating into their teaching practices.
The session will include a short presentation on the revised definition and a question and answer session, with questions submitted prior to the session.  We would like to invite questions relating to the practical application of the revised definition on both Basic and Advanced Courses.
