AGM 2021 – Plans are progressing for the AGM and Congress to be held in Slovenia in September 2021 but at this time the continuing effects of Covid-19 make it difficult for everyone to make definite plans for next year.
Registration for the AGM / Congress will not open until more is known about the effects of the pandemic on travel etc. although we hope to be able to make a final decision regarding whether the AGM / Congress will be face to face or a virtual meeting by mid March.
To assist with planning, the Slovenia country group and the Executive Committee would value views on your possible likely attendance at the AGM and Congress next year and request that you complete the survey LINK by January 15th 2021.

Covid-19: The Executive and Education Committees are continuing to work together to provide advice and guidance for planning and teaching IBITA courses during this pandemic. The responses to the Google Survey on course exemptions has informed the updated guidance document – LINK .
Please remember to contact the Executive Committee for all exemptions and questions.Our Rules and Regulations regarding courses and information in the Procedural Manual do not state that teaching on IBITA recognised courses must be face to face. When these documents were written, teaching virtually was not even considered and therefore we would still request that members seek exemptions for teaching aspects of the Basic course online as it has always been our custom and practice (until now) to only teach face to face.

As outlined in the November newsletter, the ITC has been working to develop an online educational opportunity to support the instructor candidates during this time period when we are unable to come together physically. The details will be uploaded to the IBITA website in early January 2021 with registration opening at that time. Please check the IBITA website for details early in the New Year.
Please note: This opportunity is NOT to replace attendance on the ITC Modules but rather to supplement educational opportunities within IBITA through these challenging times.

Instructor Training Modules
Preliminary information about the 2021 ITC modules will be posted in January. Plans for the modules may need to change depending on Covid-19.IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL IC’s AND POTENTIAL NEW IC’s
Instructor-candidates will be given priority registration on a “first come, first served” basis until April 1st. All instructor candidates, and prospective new candidates meeting the criteria below, should submit their I-C Training Module registration before April 1 to secure a place on the module.
An individual, who is not yet a member of IBITA, may email the IBITA Secretary requesting permission to register for an I-C Training Module. A letter of support from a Full Member must accompany the request, verifying anticipated successful first assistantship completion a minimum of one month (30 days) prior to module commencement. The individual must be a registered/paid Associate Member a minimum of one month (30 days) prior to module commencement. The one-month time frame allows the possibility to offer registration to an individual wait listed if the assistantship is not successfully completed. Note these individuals are not eligible for the IC Training Module Grant as only current ICs may apply for the Instructor-Candidate Training Module Grant with submission deadline January 30th
It is the responsibility of the supervising Full Member to provide the prospective IC all relevant information.
