Education Committee
The Educational and Peer Review Committees would like to remind the membership that at the 2018 AGM a motion was passed that the core curriculum for the Basic Course explicitly included a period of self-directed learning in the form of a written case report to be completed by all participants on all Basic Courses and evaluated by the Course Instructor(s). A clinical case report, which is not considered as research, facilitates the basic course participant to consolidate the clinical application of the Bobath concept between module 1 and 3 allowing them to confidently apply newly acquired knowledge and skills in their work place.  The report collects information about the clinical reasoning with respect to assessment and treatment of a patient and integrates the current evidence base to underpin clinical reasoning. We would be grateful if instructors would complete the below survey in relation to this to allow us to build educational resources to support this. The survey can be found via this  LINK

1. Executive Secretary with the following role:
To deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence. Registering, maintaining and updating the membership list. To take the minutes of Executive Committee meetings and the General Meeting.
2. Instructor Training Secretary with the following role:
To register and correspond with Instructor-candidates at all levels. To communicate with the Executive Committee and the General Meeting regarding instructor status.

Qualification Committee
The Qualification Committee wants to reinforce the need to have a contract between the instructor and the instructor candidate (IC) before the assistantship takes place. This contract is part of the Portfolio of Evidence and needs to be submitted by the IC. Therefore, we invite you to read the section in the Procedural Manual and read and sign this document before every assistantship. For the Contract click on the LINK
