Congratulations to Mr Hiroshi Miura from Japan who qualified as a Basic Course Instructor at the end of November. Mr Miura is the second instructor-candidate qualifying with the new process and we would like to wish him every success teaching as a full member of IBITA.

Continuing Professional Development Survey
The Education Committee is working proactively to build on and develop membership resources with respect to Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey if you haven’t already done so. (This survey was previously included in the July newsletter.)

Research Committee
At the AGM the proposal for a Scientific Director was discussed (LINK) and the presentation given by Julie Vaughan-Graham (LINK).
Please could members discuss this issue in their country groups and / or with colleagues and send their ideas to the Research Committee by 31st December 2019.

Qualification Committee
The Qualification Committee would value your feedback on the Instructor – Candidate evaluation form that was updated earlier this year. To date only three members have completed this survey so please, if you have used this form to evaluate the teaching of an Basic Course Instructor-Candidate during an assistantship please could you complete the Google Survey before January 31st – LINK to survey
Instructor Training Committee
I-C Training Module Registration will open January 1, 2020.
Instructor-candidates will be given priority registration on a “first come, first served” basis until April 1st 2020. All instructor candidates should submit their I-C Training Module registration before April 1 to secure a place on the module.
The 2020 ITC modules in Sweden will be:
- 22-25 August – Pre AGM IC Training Module: Postural Control and the Upper Limb
- 30 August -2 September – Post AGM ACI-C Training Module: Using Task Analysis as a tool for developing clinical reasoning skills in the Bobath Concept
Instructor-Candidate Training Module Grant submission deadline is January 30. Refer to Procedural Manual 5.1.2 IBITA Instructor-Candidate Training Module Grant.
