ITC Modules Trevor Tunnacliffe 2021-08-29T22:58:35+00:00

The Instructor Training Committee (ITC) is responsible to develop and regularly update instructor training modules presented worldwide. The modules are to provide an international training programme and a learning forum for all Instructor Candidates.  ITC Module administration procedures are outlined in the Procedural Manual.

Vision

  • To develop a consensus driven International Training Programme (including theoretical knowledge, practical skills and clinical application) that reflects the current practice of the Bobath Concept worldwide.

Goals

  • To share experiences in an atmosphere of mutual respect and confidence.
  • To develop current theoretical knowledge base, clinical reasoning, functional movement and  task analysis , handling skills and reflective practice.
  • To understand the evidence to support the Bobath Concept.
  • To promote cross-fertilization of ideas and resources.

Basic Course Instructor Candidate (BCI-C) Training Modules

  • During the process of becoming a Basic Course Instructor, the candidate must attend the compulsory IBITA Basic Course Instructor-Candidate (BCI-C) International Training Modules, which address postural control for recovery of locomotion and upper limb function.  Full members of IBITA may also attend the BCI-C modules to further develop their clinical skills.

Advanced Course Instructor Candidate (ACI-C) Training Modules

  • During the process of becoming an Advanced Course Instructor, the candidate must attend a compulsory Advanced Course Instructor-Candidate (ACI-C)  International Training Module. Advanced course Instructors, Senior Instructors, and Basic Course Instructors who have instructed a minimum of five (5) Basic Courses may also attend the ACI-C modules to further develop their clinical skills.
