The 2021 IBITA AGM will be held online as a Zoom meeting on Saturday August 28th 2021, 13.00 – 16.30 European time.

2021 CHAIRPERSONS PRE-AGM CIRCULAR – LINK
VIRTUAL AGM DATE/TIME AND FORMAT
- Due to the continuing global situation resulting from Covid-19, the 2021 AGM/Congress face to face meeting is cancelled and will be replaced with a virtual meeting to be held on the Saturday August 28th 2021 from 13.00 – 16.30 European time.
- The format of the virtual 2021 “AGM” shall be different to last year and will include the announcement of the results of the elections for office bearers and discussion of the reports and motions with questions/comments submitted by 13 August.

OPPORTUNITY FOR QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSION BEFORE VOTING
- All members are encouraged to review the agenda and submit questions/comments regarding the reports and the motions by 13 August 2021.
- Language groups are encouraged to review and discuss the agenda and submit questions/comments.
- ONLY agenda items with submitted questions/comments by 13 August 2021 shall be discussed during the virtual AGM.

VOTING RIGHTS AND POSTAL VOTES
- ALL members with voting rights are eligible to submit a postal vote. Postal votes will only be accepted from full members who have completed their SIS by June 30th AND paid their subscriptions by August 12th.
- This year TWO (2) separate postal votes are to be submitted by individuals with voting rights:
  1. Postal votes – ELECTIONS ONLY. Submission deadline BEFORE the virtual AGM. Results will be announced during the virtual AGM. Postal Voting is open from 13th-20th August
  2. Postal votes – MOTIONS. Submissions open AFTER the virtual AGM and associated discussions. Results will be distributed by AGM minutes.
- You MUST submit your SIS by June 30th AND paid subscriptions by August 12th for your postal vote to count.

May 1, 2021
- Statements of Instructor Status and Instructor Candidate Status to be completed after May 1 and before June 30 by ALL members – Full, Retired, Honorary Life Members, and Associate Members. Electronic submission via Member Profile on website – SIS Instructions

June 26, 2021
- Initial AGM Agenda posted 2 months prior to AGM. NO motion amendments are possible.

June 30, 2021
- Statements of Instructor Status and Instructor Candidate Status submission deadline, to be completed by ALL members – Full, Retired, Honorary Life Members, Associate Members. Electronic submission via Member Profile on website – SIS Instructions

July 1, 2021
- Subscriptions to be paid after 1 July and no later than 12 August – Invoice.

July 24, 2021
- Final AGM Agenda will be posted on the website. NO motion amendments are possible.

August 13, 2021
- Deadline to submit questions/comments regarding AGM Final Agenda items. Please submit to the IBITA Secretary, Janice Champion, Email: [email protected].
