RE: Supporting research into the Bobath Concept
The organisation IBITA (International Bobath Instructors Training Association) is a world wide non-profit organisation with more than 24 countries and all 5 continents represented. IBITA's role is to train and accredit instructors in the Bobath Concept, maintaining high standards of clinical skills and teaching. We also seek to further develop the Bobath Concept and are actively pursuing ways to support and encourage research into the Bobath Concept. This research is essential to demonstrate scientifically how effective the Bobath Concept can be in assisting people to recover from neurological problems.
One way of supporting research is by offering Research Grants to help develop new research projects. We are calling for applications for two research grants in 2008 and hope to continue to offer this form of support in the future.
To this end, we would welcome donations from those who would like to support our therapeutic approach. Money received will be held in our international accounts and 100% of funds received will be used to support research activity investigating the Bobath Concept.
